Welcome to our website

This website is now obsolete and is no longer being updated.
You will find the new site for the Village of Hargrave in Suffolk at:

Hargrave Hare

The symbol of the village, the Hare, which features on the village sign has it's origins way back and either means 'Hare (hara) Grove' or 'Grey/Hoar (har) Grove' where the word har relates to things marking boundaries so maybe 'Boundary Grove' may have been an earlier name.

Many of the houses in the village are very old and hold considerable history. At one time the village boasted three pubs, a shop and a Post Office, all of which are unfortunately now closed

Community activities tend to centre around the Village Hall so watch the Events Calendar to find out what is going on in the village.
